Russian Embassy in India hosted traditional Maslenitsa celebrations

On March 15, the Russian Embassy in India hosted traditional Maslenitsa celebrations.

At the event, students of the Embassy’s School showcased folk performances.

The Maslenitsa was attended by Russian language professors and students from the University of Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Bluebells School International.

The programme concluded with burning a straw effigy as a symbol of the fading winter.
