The Consular Division authenticates powers of attorney, drawn up in the Republic of India to be used in the Russian Federation. A power of attorney can be certified on behalf of one or multiple principals in the name of one or multiple agents.

Authentication of any type of power of attorney requires the principal’s personal appearance at the Consular Division, the signature under the power of attorney is done in front of the designated consular officer. Prior to that the designated consular officer certifies the principal’s identity and legal capacity.

Before presenting the documents to the notary at the Consular Division a principal should:

- ensure that the text of the power of attorney is acceptable at the relevant Russian entity;

- submit the draft power of attorney at https://notary.kdmid.ru;
