Students from St Petersburg visited New Delhi

On April 3-10, nine students and four teachers from St Petersburg comprehensive school № 653 named after Rabindranath Tagore, with Hindi language in the curriculum, visited New Delhi. They were received by Delhi Public School Dwarka.

During their stay in India, the Russian students attended Hindi, English and Russian classes and gained useful experience from communicating with their Indian peers. The students of the 7th-9th grades got plenty of positive impressions from sightseeing in New Delhi and Agra.

At the end of their journey, the students met with Russian Ambassador to India H.E. Mr Nikolay R.Kudashev. School Principal Ms Elena Shubina thanked the Embassy staff for support, expressed hope for continuing cooperation with Delhi Public School Dwarka and informed that Russian teachers were ready to help their Indian colleges organize online Russian classes.

The Ambassador emphasized the great importance of such educational contacts for strengthening Russian-Indian humanitarian ties. According to him, “no media can give such a clear picture of our countries, as interpersonal communication does”. These exchanges symbolize intergenerational continuity and contribute to further cooperation between Russia and India.
