Online competition "And the Saved World Remembers"

Due to the difficult situation caused by the global pandemic of the coronavirus COVID-19, this year the traditional celebrations, dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the Victory of Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, will be conducted by the RCSC in New Delhi online.

As a part of celebrations the online competition "And the Saved World Remembers" will be organized.
The competition will include recitation of passages from the works of Russian writers about the war in a form of poetry and prose, performance of songs of the war years, an essay writing competition, as well as short lectures and presentations on the Russian writers and poets, who took part in the Great Patriotic War.

Everyone can participate in the following categories:
1. The most expressive recitation of a poem about the war (One minute long video).
2. The performance of the song of the war years (One minute long video).
3. The best essay about the lessons of the Second World War titled "And the Saved World Remembers" (no more than 250 words in Russian or English).
4. Lectures and presentations about Russian writers and poets, who took part in the Great Patriotic War (no more than 10 minutes of video or PowerPoint presentation with comments).

If you want to participate in any category, you should send your works to the email address of the Institute of the Russian Language of the RCSC (russianlanguageinstitute@yahoo.in) before April 30.

Do not forget to mention in the email your name and educational organization if you are a student.

The best works will be published at RCSC New Delhi Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/rcsc.delhi/). The winners of the competition will be awarded prizes at the celebration of the Russian Language Day on 6 June at the RCSC New Delhi.
