On the Second International Conference on Russia-India Relations
Director General of ICWA, Mr T.S.A.Raghavan, Director of RIAC, Mr A.V.Kortunov, Deputy National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India Mr P.Saran and Russian Ambassador to India Mr Nikolay R. Kudashev were among the honorary guests of the inaugural session.
The six sessions of the two-day conference were attended by representatives of the scientific and expert communities of the two countries, veterans of the Indian foreign service and journalists. The experts reviewed key aspects of interaction between Moscow and New Delhi, taking into consideration the high intensity of political contacts at the highest and high levels. They stressed the need to develop bilateral ties in various areas, including closer cooperation on the entire gamut of regional and global agenda issues, increasing trade and mutual investment, cooperation in energy security and energy efficiency, artificial intelligence, the 4th industrial revolution, digital economy, international information security .
The culmination of the inaugural session of the conference was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between RIAC and ICWA.
