New Delhi celebrated fifth anniversary of the Crimea’s unification with Russia

On March 18, Russian Embassy in India hosted a reception dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the unification of Crimea with the Russian Federation. The event was attended by prominent Indian political and public figures, representatives of the scientific and cultural elite, ambassadors and staff of foreign diplomatic missions, business captains, experts, journalists, teachers of Russian language from leading Indian universities, as well as employees of Russian organizations and compatriots.
Photo exhibition “Crimean Spring” prepared by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation was presented to the guests of the celebration, along with the “passport” of the Republic of Crimea, investor’s handbook, brochures and special supplements in Indian press on the jubilee event prepared by the Russian Embassy. The reception also watched a documentary film by A. Kondrashov “Crimea. Path to the Motherland”and videos about the culture and traditions of the Crimea.
The highlight of the evening was the performance by the Embassy school’s pupils, who sang several songs about the Crimea, as well as performed choreographic numbers. The guests also enjoyed the bright colorful illuminations in the garden of the Embassy in the colors of the Russian national flag.
On the day of the significant jubilee, The Indian Express and The Financial Express published a special supplement in multimillion copies, telling the Indian people about the development of the Republic of Crimea as a part of the Russian Federation.
