Boris Grebenschikov Gave a Concert in New Delhi
On January 18, eminent musician, the leader of the legendary Aquarium group Boris Grebenshchikov, who has had a special interest in Indian culture for a long time and often visits India, gave a concert at the Russian Embassy Club in New Delhi. The audience comprised of ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps of the CIS countries, employees of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, Russian language teachers from leading Delhi universities, as well as staff of Russian organizations and compatriots living in New Delhi.
During the 1,5-hour concert the founder of Russian rock music performed both new songs and famous compositions of previous years and was accompanied with unceasing applause. At the end of the evening, Russian Ambassador to India Nikolay R. Kudashev on behalf of the audience thanked Boris Grebenshchikov for the excellent performance and expressed hope that the tradition of such meetings would continue in the future.
