Essay contest “On Russia in no Rush”

An essay contest “ON RUSSIA IN NO RUSH” will be held in India from December 1 to 25, 2019. The contest was organized by Irina Malysheva, the winners of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund grant competition, with the support of Alexander Gorchakov Fund, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India and Indian Association of Russian Compatriots (IARC).

Who can participate:

  • Indian citizens over 18 years of age;
  • Russian compatriots over 18 years of age, presently living in India.

Basic requirements for the essay:

  • Original, not published earlier; 
  • Corresponds to one of the topics of the competition;
  • Written in English; 
  • 700 – 750 words.

Conditions of participation and selection of winners:

  • Registration forms must be submitted and sent along with the essay to essayonrussia@gmail.com until December 25, 2019;
  • 1 participant – 1 essay;
  • Four winners of the contest will be selected based on the following criteria: freshness of an idea, clarity of expression and argumentation;
  • The results will be available after January 20, 2020.

Prizes:

The winners will have their essay published in the Indian newspapers and other media resources of the Organizers’ choice and will get an opportunity to visit Moscow. Organizers reserve the rights to substitute for a prize of similar value. No transfer of prizes is allowed.
